DOLLARIZATION:
Is it a viable solution for North America?

An EPI Policy Seminar Luncheon

Listen to the event

With the increasing integration of the economies of North America, discussions about the adoption of a common currency -- the U.S. dollar -- have begun in policy circles in all three countries. Dollarization raises a number of complex economic and political issues, from the management of monetary policy to questions of national identity. It also raises the question of whether the formation of a common market now requires a merging of the structures of national economic governance. The panelists each provide a different perspective on dollarization, followed by a general discussion with the audience.
